  1. About the Default Translation (ProDOS to ProDOS Menu)

  8. This default translation creates bit-for-bit copies of ProDOS files.  The resulting files are identical to files copied with the Apple II Filer.

  10. How to Use It

  12. If all the other translators in the ProDOS to ProDOS menu are inactive or unable to translate a file, Apple File Exchange performs the default translation.  By using the default translation, you can copy ProDOS files from one disk or folder to another.

  14. To ensure that Apple File Exchange performs the default translation, you must deactivate all other translators in the menu.  (Active translators are checked in the menu.  To deactivate an active translator, select the translator's menu item.)

  16. Note:  You cannot deactivate the default translation.
